Three leaders in industrial supplies choose a-SIS’ solutions

OREXAD, DESCOURS & CABAUD and WÜRTH France install a-SIS solutions on their distribution platforms. The warehouse management and logistic flows software package editor thus reinforces its position in the "ironmongery, tools and industrial supplies" market, where it realises 20% of its turnover and includes amongst its customers Berner, the Lapeyre Group and Legallais. The new OREXAD platform in Soissons managed by LM7®  | The specialist in industrial supplies, which is enjoying a strong growth period, decided to deploy a new logistic outline from a national platform located in Soissons (Aisne) and more local platforms which will serve the Group’s offices. The aim is to improve reliability and the quality of its stock and its deliveries, but also to ensure full, constant traceability of its logistic flows, OREXAD chose a-SIS’ LM7® warehouse and flow management software suite. The solution is particularly well adapted as it already covers 90% of the functionalities required by OREXAD « as standard ». |
DESCOURS & CABAUD: 15 platforms fitted with the LM7® suite between now and 2013 | The leading group in the distribution of supplies for industry and the building trade in France
- with over 350.000 customers - adopts the LM7® suite and its module LM_WCS to control its platforms’ mechanised systems and optimise its « more traditional » logistic processes. The solution will be deployed on the Transdexis site in Louvres (95) and the Prodex site in Charnoz (01) before being implemented on the Group’s platforms, i.e. 15 sites in the next 5 years. Fully controlled by a-SIS, the software package will be implemented from the third site, by DESCOURS & CABAUD themselves. A transfer of skills will gradually enable them to gain in autonomy in configuring, installing, and maintaining the solution and even maybe customising it. |
WÜRTH France chooses a-SIS’ LM_WCS for its new platform in Montelimar  | WÜRTH France, which markets nearly 22.000 product references (fastening products and techniques, equipment for workshops and utility vehicles and consumable storage solutions) fitted its new 15.000 m2 automated platform located in Montelimar (Drôme) with a-SIS’ WCS (Warehouse Control System). On this platform with 42000 storage locations, 3.000 conveyed boxes are prepared daily for the south of France. LM_WCS® ensures the interfaces with the ERP (integrated management software package) and a mechanised Savoye conveyor, launch optimisation – to reduce amongst other things the number of boxes per order - various weight checks, as well as the management of the checking station and a TGW distribution sorter. LM_WCS® also manages : 7 automatic labelling machines, inserting delivery notes into boxes, sorting boxes at dispatch, interfaces with trolleys and controlling approximately fifty embedded radio terminals. |

Associated with the LM_Master® module, the solution becomes multi-site and multi-depot: it can process inter-site flows. Products with very varied features can be managed thanks to the wealth of parameterisation in its product database: uglies, very long products (or indeed cut products), dangerous and inflammable products. The solution can also manage any incompatibilities between the different product families etc. Ensuring total traceability of products and operations, the LM7® suite can process complex flows and also control mechanised equipment thanks to LM_WCS® (automated warehouses, preparation lines, sorting machines…). The multi-lingual software package can be interfaced with all types of ERP or commercial management software and be configured according to the users’ requirements.
