Last September, the software package editor implemented its Logys® WMS module from its Logistics Manager Suite range at the Avesnes-le-Comte (62) at the site belonging to Phildar, the specialist in women’s ready-to-wear clothes and the knitting wool leader.
Following the two sites in Neuville-en-Ferrain (59) in 2009, a-SIS has just been entrusted with « the management » of a third Phildar warehouse. The specialist in women’s ready-to-wear clothes and the knitting wool leader called upon the editor to replace the « In-house WMS» at its warehouse in Avesnes-le-Comte (62) with Logys®. David Desreumaux, a-SIS’ Senior Project Manager, comments: «Phildar’s aim was simple: to increase efficiency in shop and e-business order preparation with an upgradeable, flexible WMS».
With a surface area of 30 000 m2, the Avesnes-le-Comte warehouse supplies two brands on its behalf:
- The Phildar brand (knitting wool and ready-to-wear)
- The new ready-to-wear and Grain de Malice accessories entity GDM
But also manages two supplementary activities:
- Haberdashery
- Products which cannot be sold to consumers (Point of sale advertising, Shop-fitting, …)
And finally provides a logistic service for the company RougeGorge, which is specialised in lingerie.
a-SIS’ Logys® WMS solution which has been operational since mid-September, firstly ensures la Grain de Malice offer’s distribution flow management, from goods-in to dispatch via quantitative checking and order fulfilment. This involves 6 000 active product references. An average of nearly 400 boxes are prepared daily to replenish the brand’s 82 sales outlets in France served from this warehouse and fulfil the internet surfers’ orders. David Desreumaux specifies: « flow management for the e-business site Graindemalice.fr is a little different. It is done by consolidation then sorting. The boxes are delivered to the internet surfers, sales outlets or collection points at D+2».
Interfaced with SAP, the Logys® solution has also been in use since the beginning of November to manage products which cannot be sold to Phildar and Grain de Malice brand consumers.
Secondly, Phildar envisages processing all the flows managed in the warehouse using Logys®, namely, as a priority, RougeGorge lingerie, ready-to-wear Phildar, and of course its historical activity : Phildar knitting wool.
The implemented Logys® solution is a multi-site computing and physical management system, which enables the problems raised by several brands, several customers and several information systems to be solved.
Joffrey Bombeeck, the manager of the Supply Chain It pole at Phildar, adds:
« The spirit of partnership implemented with the a-SIS project team, but also the scalability of the Logys® solution and its adaptability and ability to solve our problems including multi-site and multi-activity management, contributed to the success of the various phases of the project ».
