Lapeyre Group

For several years now, a-SIS systems have been fitted in warehouses in trade and industrial sites belonging to this French leader in durable equipment for home improvements.

Context

A few words about the group...
The Lapeyre Group has a special place in the field of distribution thanks to the variety of its outlets and the original advantage which give it a powerful integrated industrial pole coupled with an international presence which is in full expansion. In France, Belgium, Switzerland and in France's former colonies, the 140 branches of the main outlet "LAPEYRE la maison" is intended for both private individuals with a project as well as confirmed DIY enthusiasts and tradesmen.

The Lapeyre Group has an industrial tool which is integrated into about fifteen factories, which enables it to offer an exclusive service in kitchens, windows, doors and staircases. Its force in terms of purchasing and logistics enables it moreover to be very competitive in the bathroom and tiling fields.

Why they chose LM®
In 2000, the Lapeyre Group consulted numerous software package editors in their search for a complete WMS to be fitted in its warehouses.  a-SIS' LM® was selected because it was able to adapt to the many constraints imposed by the Group.

Integration in full partnership with a-SIS

Making Lapeyre its own integrator
The major stake was the ability to deploy a master to all the sites which respected the specific requirements of each site and covered all of the functionalities of all of the sites with the first 2 or 3 installations.
This requirement may seem difficult to respect because it involves the management of completely different sites : indeed, the Lapeyre Group has 2 "trade" logistic sites and numerous "production"logistic sites, which manage very hetergeneous products themselves.
Another peculiarity to be taken into account was the desire which was made clear from the very beginning by the Lapeyre Group to become the software package integrator. To do this, a project team was created to acquire a great deal of independence from a-SIS : hardware installation, writing Functional Analyses, centralising upgrade requests etc.

A homogeneous and adaptable solution
a-SIS therefore installed a pilot WMS covering all of the warehouse functionalities on all of the sites with adaptations to suit the specificities of each one. For example, at MDC and Ouest Production, LM® ensures the control of a pallet truck. Recently, to fulfil the customer's needs, new processes were integrated: tile bath management, cross docking, final customer labelling etc.
From the beginning of the collaboration between a-SIS and the Lapeyre Group, the various versions of LM® have been managed depending on the site with a regular update which enables you to retain a homogeneous solution for the entire group.

Thanks to the independence acquired by the Lapeyre project team, three other industrial sites may also soon move over to LM®
